Anime-Manga Differences Spoiler
Animation Changes
- The scene with Kurenai Yūhi and her and Asuma's child is set against the village skyline in the manga. The anime replaces that backdrop with a flat two-tone.
- Chōza dives horizontally in front of the current Ino-Shika-Chō trio to shield them from Asuma's Fire Release: Ash Pile Burning in the manga. The anime has him simply stand in front of them instead. (Manga: chapter 533, page 10)
- Asuma's kunai are drawn with square tips in the manga; the anime gives them rounded tips. (Manga: chapter 533, page 5)
- When Asuma tells his students their formation is now complete, the anime brings tears to their eyes. The manga shows them as visibly saddened but stops short of crying. (Manga: chapter 534, page 9)
