The Allied Shinobi Forces press forward against Obito and Madara as the battle around the Ten Tails grows more intense. As the chaos spreads, the shinobi are forced to confront a troubling new threat that stretches far beyond the battlefield.
Anime-Manga Differences Spoiler
Censorship
- As the Ten-Tails shifts into its second form in the manga, a nearby shinobi is shown coughing up blood from the impact. The anime keeps the audio but cuts the visual. The same episode also pulls back from a close-up of Neji being impaled by the Ten-Tails' wood branches in front of Naruto and Hinata. (Manga: chapter 613, page 2)
Plot and Content Changes
- Cut from the anime: a Sunagakure Intelligence Division shinobi and a Kirigakure Sensor Division shinobi arguing over whether to evacuate, moments before the Ten-Tails' Tailed Beast Ball strikes the Alliance HQ. (Manga: chapter 613, page 12)
- Also cut: an older Kumogakure shinobi praising the Hyūga clan's skill on the battlefield. (Manga: chapter 614, page 3)
- Kakashi Hatake pulls Sakura Haruno clear of the Ten-Tails' rampage in the manga. The anime has Sakura defend herself in that moment instead. (Manga: chapter 614, page 8)
- Another omitted manga beat: shinobi on the battlefield blocking the Ten-Tails' Wood Release: Cutting Technique with Earth Release and Fire Release. (Manga: chapter 614, page 9)
- Naruto lobs three Rasenshuriken into the wave of wooden spikes in the manga, carving through the Cutting Technique and detonating in midair. The anime bumps it up to five, with each Rasenshuriken disabling one of the Ten-Tails' tails.
